Artist biography:
Nicola Winborn’s artworks have been published internationally in ‘Art in a Box’, ‘Circulaire 132’, ‘New Concrete Poetry and Neo Concrete Poetry’, ‘Rubber Postcard’, ‘South Florida Poetry Journal’, ‘Sonic Boom’ (cover artist also), ‘Stampzine’, ‘Utsanga’, ‘WowNow’ and ‘X-Peri’. In 2021, she was a writer, editor and visual contributor to the international anthology ‘WAAVe Global Gallery: Women Asemic Artists and Visual Poets’ published with Hysterical Books, Florida, USA. In 2019, she founded ‘Attic Zine: The International Book of Colour’, a loose-leaf assembling zine, which she continues to edit and craft. In addition to this, she also organises the following ongoing artistic projects: ‘Marsh Flower Gallery’ (Nicola is the Founder and Curator of this electronic exhibition space hosting artists from around the world); ‘Infinity: My ND World’ (this is a blog owned, written and edited by Nicola which explores her life as a Neurodivergent Artist); and marshflowerpress.com – Nicola’s online blog and micro press, showcasing both her own art and writing and that of her fellow global artists and writers.

Some background information on this project: Unknown to each other, both Nathan and Nicola, were drawn to the same analogue collage art by Winborn for digital reinvention. Nathan was compelled to rework the analogue art through AI approaches, and Nicola used Glitch Applications. Nicola was particularly fascinated by the fact that her and Nathan both embarked on this quest without initially consulting each other: it wasn’t until Nathan approached Nicola privately that they each realised there was this incredible overlap! Nicola felt this was a great opportunity to collaborate together. The result is 26 Visions – A Collaboration, which consists of digital visual pieces and interviews with both artists. 26 Visions – A Collaboration appears in linked instalments on this website.
